Greenergy has plans to invest in Front End Engineering Design of a project to produce low-carbon transportation fuels from waste tires. The new facility is expected to process up to 300 tons of shredded tires each day to produce low-carbon fuels in the first phase. A second independent plant could also be set up to produce sustainable aviation fuel.
Haldor Topsoe has announced the successful startup of the first Tertinox catalyst reference at Kavala Fertilizers in Greece. The move aims at reducing harmful N₂O and NOx in the nitric acid industry and the nitric acid unit is expected to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by more than 30.000 tons CO2 equivalents per year.
Grön Fuels has selected Haldor Topsoe’s H2bridge bio-hydrogen and hydroflex technology for its new multi-billion low carbon intensity complex in Louisiana, USA. Once completed, the mega facility is expected to produce 60,000 barrels per day of renewable diesel.
The mega project will be developed by Skovgaard Invest and supported by Vestas and Haldor Topsoe. Expected to be built in Western Jutland, Denmark, the plant will produce more than 5,000 tonnes of green ammonia from renewable power annually.
Braskem and Haldor Topsoe have recently achieved their first demo-scale production of bio-based monoethylene glycol (MEG) from sugar in Denmark. This confirms the potential for large-scale production of renewable MEG by making use of the Mosaik technology.
