October 14 | Nuremberg, Germany
The 2026 Chillventa European Refrigeration Exhibition was held with great fanfare in Nuremberg, Germany, from October 13 to 15. Snowman Group showcased its flagship products and solutions at the show, and celebrated a major milestone — the 10th anniversary of its star product, the SRS series ammonia semi-hermetic screw compressor. On-site, Snowman Group held a celebration ceremony, warmly inviting numerous industry guests to attend and share in the occasion.
As the host of the ceremony, Xiao Lun, Vice President of Snowman Group, briefly reviewed the ten years of technological iteration and global application of the SRS series, thanked industry organizations and customers for their long-term support, and warmly invited all guests to witness this milestone moment together.
Ms. Madeleine Edl, Head of EU & International Projects, International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR)
Ms. Madeleine Edl extended warm congratulations to Snowman Group on the 10th anniversary of the SRS series ammonia semi-hermetic screw compressor. She emphasized that in an era defined by the shared goal of climate action, the direction of the global refrigeration industry has never been clearer: driving the industry toward refrigerants with lower environmental impact while continuously improving energy efficiency. Natural refrigerants such as ammonia and carbon dioxide are not stopgap measures — they are the long-term answer. The IIR stands ready to work hand in hand with Snowman Group and industry peers to jointly advance the application and knowledge sharing of natural refrigerants, marching together toward sustainable development.
Mr. Wang Bin, Vice Chairman & Secretary-General, Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR)
Secretary-General Wang Bin noted that China has become the world's largest manufacturer and consumer market for refrigeration equipment, thanks to the joint efforts of generations of refrigeration professionals, to which Snowman Group has also contributed. From ice-making equipment to core compressor technology, from deep cultivation of the domestic market to a global footprint, Snowman Group has achieved results that have drawn worldwide attention. At the same time, Snowman Group has stayed on a path that is by no means easy — unwaveringly advancing the application of natural working fluids: making natural refrigerants such as ammonia, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons simpler, safer and more efficient. The Chinese Association of Refrigeration is delighted to see Chinese enterprises taking their technologies to the world, and looks forward to more exchanges and cooperation across the industry.
Industry Expert Insights
Global Development Trends of Natural Refrigerants
Mr. Jan Dusek, Co-founder & Group COO, ATMOsphere
Driven jointly by the Kigali Amendment and the EU F-Gas Regulation, the global refrigerants landscape is accelerating its move away from HFCs toward natural working fluids. Europe stands as the benchmark of this transition, where natural refrigerants have established advantages across arenas including food and beverage processing, warehousing and retail distribution, commercial chillers, heat pumps and data centers. With its shaftless design, low charge and modularized assembly, Snowman Group's SRS series ammonia semi-hermetic screw compressor significantly enhances product reliability and ease of use, and has demonstrated Snowman's leading technology and refined craftsmanship through a wealth of successful projects.
SRS: Past and Present
SRS: A Decade of Development
Mr. Rüdiger Rudischhauser, Sales Director, Europe, Snowman Group
Mr. Rudischhauser shared with the guests in attendance the ten-year journey of the SRS series ammonia semi-hermetic screw compressor:
In 2016, its innovative shaftless, low-charge and modularized design solved long-standing challenges in the industry.
In 2021, the compact SRS-C series was launched. Through variable-frequency drive and automatic control technologies, it extended the application boundaries from cold storage and process cooling to air-conditioning and data centers.
Today, the SRS can cover diverse scenarios such as cold storage and heat pumps. Its footprint now spans the globe, showing the world the strength of natural refrigerants and of Snowman.
SRS: Future Outlook
Mr. Thomas Broglia, General Manager, SRM Italy, Snowman Group
Mr. Broglia announced that starting in 2026, Snowman will officially launch local European production of the SRS series compressors, providing European industry partners with faster, more locally aligned supply and services. Snowman's Italian base integrates R&D, manufacturing, testing, warehousing and services in one. All products undergo leak testing and actual operation testing before shipment. Customers are also offered comprehensive support including performance test reports, selection software and technical training, continuously strengthening Snowman's local European manufacturing and service capabilities.
Global Users Share Their Experience
At the ceremony, Mr. Rudischhauser specially invited five SRS users to the stage to share their experience. They came from Peru, Australia, Morocco, Greece and the Czech Republic, covering a range of application sectors. Snowman's customer partners shared that the SRS series ammonia semi-hermetic screw compressor is compact, easy to assemble and commission, and delivers excellent operating performance, providing reliable support for the operation of projects — a top-tier choice in the industry.
Gratitude for Shared Progress, Marching Toward New Milestones
Ms. Chen Ling, President of Snowman Group, delivered words of thanks. She expressed great joy in witnessing, here at the Chillventa show, this milestone belonging to Snowman Group and the SRS together with everyone present, and extended her sincere gratitude to the distinguished guests who attended in person:
Thank you to the industry organizations and media partners for their recognition and support of Snowman Group — it is you who keep Snowman from walking alone.
Thank you to every customer and partner who has chosen and trusted the SRS over the past ten years — without you, we could not have come this far.
And thank you to Snowman Group's colleagues around the world — this achievement belongs to the ten years we have devoted ourselves to and fought for together!
For industry and corporate development, Snowman's answer has always been clear: steadfastly follow the path of natural working fluids and deepen natural refrigerant technology. We are willing to work with every partner to make this path steadier and longer.
At the end of the ceremony, Ms. Chen Ling sincerely invited distinguished guests to join Mr. Lin Rujie, Chairman of Snowman Group, on stage to celebrate the SRS's tenth birthday together.
In a warm and festive atmosphere, the guests joined hands to cut the birthday cake, and all guests present wished together: in the future, industry peers will join hands to continue deepening the natural refrigerant field, letting the green path of the heating & cooling industry go steady and far.
