BiobasedWorld, the trade show for the biobased industries, will open its doors on 15 and 16 February 2017 in Cologne. Exhibitors who wish to showcase their expertise in bioeconomy are invited to register as of now.

BiobasedWorld is the first genuine trade show in Europe for biobased industries and the only bioeconomy event focusing on the exhibition. “Bioeconomy doesn‘t follow traditional value chains. Successful players adjust by building new networks, discovering new suppliers and customers, thinking cross-sectoral and inventing their own business – based on innovation and an open mind”, explains Dr. Marlene Etschmann, Project Leader BiobasedWorld at DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH. The idea of a cross-sectoral interactive network is emphasized by the innovative shell scheme that enables exchange and gives the exhibition a feel of transparency and openness. The Newcomer Spot offers start-ups and young companies a platform for meeting potential customers and investors

The title of the conference programme “Biobased industries at work” speaks for itself: Invited keynote speakers give a broad perspective on the most important topics in industrial biotechnology and the bioeconomy; exhibitors add their view and experience from everyday business life. The presentations take place in the hall, complementing the trade show rather than creating a second center of activity

BiobasedWorld offers an overview of latest enabling innovations, products, technologies and services - ready to be applied today. The exhibition will bring together experts from all fields to exchange ideas. This encompasses process-focused sectors such as industrial biotechnology and biorefineries as well as products such as biochemicals, biopolymers or building materials and equipment ranging from photobioreactors to filtration units.

BiobasedWorld is organized by DECHEMA, combining the extensive knowledge of the bioeconomy and biobased industries with decade-long experience in the organization of trade shows such as ACHEMA.
