To support the growth of electronics and renewable energy customers at the Sama Jaya High Tech Park in Kuching, Malaysia, Linde has started up a new air separation unit (ASU) which will supply high purity nitrogen to multiple customers in the region. The new plant will make use of Linde’s latest technology which provides 30 % better power efficiency and can reduce GHG emissions by more than 6,000 tons per year.
Linde has started up its new hydrogen facility in Texas, USA to meet the growing demand of hydrogen in the region. The company has also entered into a long-term agreement with Phillips 66 to supply the hydrogen produced at the new plant to Phillips 66’s Sweeny Refinery in Old Ocean, Texas.
As many as eleven companies are supporting the large-scale deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology in Houston in order to decarbonize industrial units in the region. Together they are planning to potentially capture and safely store up to 50 million metric tons of CO2 per year by 2030 and about 100 million metric tons by 2040.

With an aim to meet the growing demand for industrial gases in the region, Linde has decided to increase production capacity at its air separation plant in Mims, Florida, USA by 50 %. The project is expected to be complete by 2023.
Linde has signed a long-term agreement with Infineon Technologies to produce and store high-purity green hydrogen as well as other industrial gases at Infineon's Villach site in Austria. Under the contract, Linde will build, own and operate a 2-MW electrolyzer plant which will cater to the company’s semiconductor manufacturing process.

Under the terms of the agreement, Linde will build, own and operate the new liquid hydrogen infrastructure in South Korea. This also includes the construction of a liquid hydrogen facility which will have a capacity of over 30 tons per day.
